The National Coordinator Presidential Task Force on the COVID-19, Sani Aliyu has cautioned of another influx of Covid-19 in Nigeria.
Aliyu cautioned that permitting the second influx of COVID-19 in Nigeria could wreck the nation’s economy and lead to more fatalities.
Talking during the daily media briefing on COVID-19 in Abuja, Aliyu encouraged organizations to cling carefully to the rule of COVID-19.
While tending to the media, Aliyu said that the economy in the end need to be reopened but on a secure ground. He made it very clear that it is obvious from different pieces of the world, that specific nations are presently returning into lockdown in view of the pandemic coming back.
Talking on the impact on the nation’s economy, he said that the nation cannot bear to have this event occuring again suggesting that it will crush the economy and it will prompt a great deal of deaths. On this note, Nigreria will have to tred carefully while reopening the economy.
Nigeria at present has 44,433 affirmed COVID-19 cases.
This followed the affirmation of 304 new COVID-19 cases by the Nigeria Center for Disease Control, NCDC, as at Tuesday night.
