Juventus hotshot Cristiano Ronaldo will improve the more he plays after the coronavirus-implemented break, as indicated by manager Maurizio Sarri.
Ronaldo hit from the spot as Sarri’s men thrashed 10-man Lecce 4-0 in Turin on Friday – the reigning champions opened a seven-point advantage over league contenders Lazio.
The former Madrid and united man took his count to 23 goals in 24 matches this season, however Ronaldo has been criticized for his lack of form since the league restart.
Asked about Ronaldo performance in the post-match conference, Sarri told reporters: “Cristiano now can play with a good fit. He needs to improve after the break and he is doing match after match.
“He needs to play a lot. In the future we will find the way to preserve him across matches or for some matches.
“He is great in listening to himself and he will realize when he will need to stop and rest. But now I think he fits quite well.”
Ronaldo set up Dybala to score a splendid 53rd-minute opener before doubling the lead from the penalty spot 9 minutes later.
Ronaldo also influenced Higuain’s strike in the 83rd moment, with De Ligt adjusting the defeat a little ways from the end.
