Governor Obaseki Officially Defect To PDP

The Governor of Edo State, Godwin Obaseki is now officially a member of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP.

Recall that the Governor made his intention known by departing the APC camp over the the rift that ensued in the recent time. But over time, there have been back and fort over his proposed move to the opposition party.

PDP in an announcement made by means of its official Twitter page affirmed Obaseki’s defection.

Obaseki declared his choice on Friday evening at the state Secretariat of the gathering in Benin City, Edo State.

The People’s democratic party expressed their joy at the governor’s Decision.

“The affirmation was made this evening at the state Secretariat of our party in Benin city, Edo State. Capacity to the individuals. #EdoIsPDP. @officialKolaO”

In the interim, Obaseki who was joined by a horde of supporters to the gathering’s secretariat was gotten by the state PDP administrator Hon Tony Aziegbemi and other gathering individuals

Accepting the party card which was introduced to him by the PDP ward 4 executive, Gov Obaseki guaranteed the party of cruising to triumph come September this year.

Governor Obaseki made his feelings known and gave his vote of confidence on the party structure of the PDP from unit level to national level. He said ‘I guarantee you as party individuals, I will lead this party to triumph come election’.

Responding, the state party executive, Hon Tony Aziegbemi said the PDP being a Democratic party will keep on having faith in the new initiative of the party in the state which will be driven by Gov. .Obaseki
