Governor Uzodinma pledges to recover looted funds back to the treasury

The Imo State Governor, Senator Hope Uzodinma, has said that his administration will recoup to the last cent plundered from state treasury by his antecedents.

He expressed this on Friday in Owerri while tending to partners of the state including his delegate, Professor Placid Njoku.

He said that his administration, which is tied down on Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Recovery, will guarantee a sterilized framework in the state where Imo citizens’ cash isn’t taken by a couple of eager people to the burden of the vast larger part.

“We have cleaned the common help framework and we won’t have issues of phantom laborers or dead individuals getting compensation and benefits.

Let me sound it as a note of caution, passing by the new law on Land Use Charges, all land proprietors in the state are informed to go for a revalidation with respect to their Certificate of Ownership, in any case, the legislature won’t stop for a second to restore their properties to the first proprietors when the need emerges.

“I let you know at this very moment, any land in the state some time ago assigned to people or gathering by past governments, be it lodgings or visitor houses having a place with the legislature, will all be recovered by the administration,” he included.

In the interim, he has guaranteed that pay rates of laborers will be paid immediately as, as per him, the legislature has made it basic through the new robotized framework.

He, be that as it may, wished all Imo individuals an upbeat Democracy Day, promising better days ahead.
